Looking for an Asian Restaurant in Malta? Start Here

Malta does not have a shortage of restaurants — but if you are craving proper Asian food, the kind built around wok fire, slow-cooked broths and plates meant for the middle of the table, the list gets short quickly. Saigon exists to fix that. We are an Asian kitchen with three homes across the island, and one idea behind all of them: easy, casual and full of flavour.
Three Saigons, one soul
Our flagship sits on Triq d'Argens in Gżira — a full restaurant with a bar, dine-in service, cocktails, brunch and room for celebrations. It is open every day from 10:00, and it is where you will find our complete menu, our daily happy hour and our bottomless weekend brunch. If you are searching for an Asian restaurant near Sliema, St Julian's or Ta' Xbiex, Gżira is a five-minute hop from all three.
Then there are the two express Saigons: one on Naxxar Road in Birkirkara, and one in the food court at Malta International Airport. Same kitchen thinking, faster format — counter service, quick plates, eat in or take away. One last bao before your flight is a perfectly acceptable travel ritual.
What the menu looks like
The menu moves across Asia without worrying too much about borders. There is a gyoza and dumpling selection, a bao bar stuffed with everything from satay pulled pork to crispy chicken, slow-simmered soups like our clear pork wonton soup, and wok classics — nasi goreng, chow mein, katsu, Thai yellow curry. Signature mains run from tikka lamb chops to Choo Chee Pla, a local seabream fillet in creamy coconut curry. Vegetarians are not an afterthought: Korean fried tofu, gochujang eggplant and king oyster mushroom mains hold their own.
Prices stay friendly — bao buns from €4, most classics around €13, and nothing on the menu trying to be fine dining. That is the point: no fuss, no rules, just food you want to come back to.
Book, walk in, or order direct
You can book a table at Gżira or Birkirkara in a few taps, walk in whenever, or order online directly from us for pickup and delivery — and first-timers who join our list get a one-time 10% welcome code to use when they order direct or dine in. However you get here, bring people. The food is best shared.
